You'll need your PIN or the answer to your security question to access your account online, or when calling Customer Service for assistance. This will better ensure that no one else can access your account without your authorization.

Tips for creating a secure PIN:
Choose a 6- to 10-digit number you can easily recall, but make sure it's not easy for someone else to guess. Avoid using parts of your phone number or a birth date for example.

For your protection, you can't create a PIN that contains:

      HTC DNA

Posted by Nateatlarge from Everett WA on 11/29/2012

The lack of a memory card is a huge design flaw, and the lack of a removable battery is too. I find some of the pre-installed apps are useless and ended up hiding 24 apps right out of the box. I also didn't like the fact that no USB/HDMI converter is included. GPS is quick to locate, drains the battery a little quicker than I would like. 2 hours with the GPS navigation drained the battery to 46% Camera works very fast. pictures seem very clear. Installed most of the apps I require (no games) and there is a lot of space left. I dislike how I am prompted to connect to Wifi constantly. I haven't found a setting to disable that, there are a few other little things like that in the software that I think I can deal with. Only one spot for all the messaging that I see, seems to have a tab for all messages, SMS, and Voicemail, and the voicemail tab seems to contain a permanent advertisement for visual voicemail, I will never pay you $2.99 for this service. Overall from the slick design, functionality and durability (minus the above info) It is a great phone. .I'm sure to recommend it to everyone I know. It is very fast and smooth operating. The screen is literally perfect, and though it's a 5'' 1080p screen with a quad core processor and LTE.

I would recommend this to a friend!

      Gorgeous phone!

Posted by Seanboy1 from Canyon Country, Ca. on 12/3/2012

First, Please excuse my long review. I just want to give you a sense of my history with phones. Finally I have an Android phone I am happy with! I've had the Iphone for a couple of years and was happy with the screen resolution and how everything just seemed to work. But Adroid manufactures came out with nice large screens and I had been trying them out ever since. I have been through Atrix 2, Galaxy Note, Galaxy s3, HTC Thunderbolt and Rezound. I thought the Galaxy Note was going to be " the one" but it was just a little too big. I had returned it and had returned to my Iphone 4 on AT&T. Then the huge buzz about the Galaxy S3 came out and I thought that would be " the one " , so , wanting Verizon's LTE network, I jumped ship from AT&T and went with Verizon for the Galaxy S3. This is when I discovered the " Pentile " display! Apparently the Note doesn't use this # I found it to be clear and no pixilation # but the GS3 does. The Galaxy S3 would be fine if there was no pixilation. And also 3 other little things on the GS3 that bugged the heck out of me - the home button just presses on in your pocket and kills the battery; if I receive an text picture, don't force me to look at one picture as a slideshow; and when the phone is in lock mode, let me use my bluethooth to make a call! So, I had returned the GS3 and tried the Iphone 5. It was nice enough, but I still longed for a larger screen. So I returned it. My options for Verizon's phones were either that they were out of date or they all used the " pentile " display # like the Motorola phones... uuuuugh. # So, I decided that I wanted a clear screen. That's when I discovered HTC. A friend had the Thunderbolt and I felt it had a clear screen, so I used it for a little while. Then I upgraded to the HTC rezound . It had a beautiful screen that I learned had a PPI # Pixel Per Inch # higher resolution than the iphone's screen! # Iphone is about 320 ppi, Galaxy Note is about 290 ppi, and the Rezound is 341 ppi! # So, this is how I discovered HTC. So, I was just going to stick with the Rezound for a while until something better came along.... And here it is! The DNA! The screen has a whopping high resolution of 440 ppi! It has a 5 inch 1080p screen. You hold this phone in your hand, and it just feels so thin and and well built. It seems like a much smaller phone than it is. It fits in my pocket perfectly. I've decided that I can live with 16 gb of memory as I just trimmed my music collection down a little bit. You don't need your complete library on your phone, just download a few hundred songs and that's enough for me. The battery is very acceptable. I found that with the Rezound, I was just plugging in the phone and charging it versus swapping batteries. # By the way in case you aren't familiar with the HTC Thunderbolt and Rezound, their battery life is horrible. # HTC addressed the battery issue here. I can get through the day just fine and when I get home I just drop it on the wireless charger! I also got one of those battery packs for overnight trips. While HTC Sense is not the greatest, it just seems to work overall. I can do the simple little tasks that the GS3 wouldn't let me do # look at a simple picture text without downloading a separate texting app, make a phone call from my Bluetooth when my phone is locked, and the only button that unlocks the phone is at the top-# side would be ok too# not also a RAISED button on the surface of the phone like on the GS3 that wakes up your phone in your pocket! # Oh yea, I can also take a picture and be on the internet while on a phone call which you can't do on the Iphone 5 on Verizon. Summing up, This is a gorgeous phone! You just need to go hold one in your hand. The price is right for this caliber of phone. The 16gb of memory and non removable battery are completely manageable.

If your good with moding a phone then youl be fine

Posted by sevenhellz from farmington hills mi on 12/15/2012

i love this phone to death. but not until after i unlocked the bootloader, rooted the phone, and installed a custom 4.2 jelly bean rom. what that all means is i had to un do everything HTC did to the phone. the hardware of this phone is insane. BUTTTT the software is terrible! terrible terrible terrible!!!! they took android 4.1 and killed it in every way possible. i would only recommend this phone to a person who likes the old old android froyo, witch seems to be what htc is going for with there skin, or if your willing to mod the phone to make it how it should have been.

      Exceeded heavy expectations

      on 12/26/2012

I wasn't much of a tech nerd, but that was before I started doing research on what phone I wanted. At first, I already had my mind set on one phone: the IPhone 5. However, that was before I tried out both the IPhone and Galaxy S3 at Verizon. The S3 immediately won me over, as I realized I love a big screen. Later, I discovered the Galaxy Note 2, which I also had my mind set on for a long time. I still love that phone, but what's most important to me is the screen, and from most of the reviews I was reading the HTC Droid DNA had the best of the best. While to be quite honest I never got a great look at it in person as I couldn't look at any video since someone messed up the settings at the Verizon Store. I decided to take the word of the reviews and videos I saw and bought the phone. That right there was how I came to the greatest decision I've ever made. I was, and still am, BLOWN away by the screen. At over 440 PPI(over 100 PPI more than any other smartphone), and at a perfect 5", it will always be my favorite feature of the phone. If you are still considering what phone you should buy, BUY THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!! I couldn't have imagined I would love it more. I typically am very pessimistic when it comes to my phones(I couldn't have hated my XPeria Play more), but I couldn't find anything but minor complaints on the phone so far(except for the lack of a removable batter and Micro SD card, which may annoy me down the road). Anyway, like I titled this review I loved this phone even more than I expected to and for the couple of 1 star reviews, I can guarantee they can didn't actually buy the phone. Probably just a couple of apple fanboys. Oh and BTW, did anyone else notice if you type in htcdroiddna.com you get the apple website? Apple, you sneaky dogs :)

      Great all around phone!

Posted by ErikAtom from Aurora, CO on 1/19/2013

I moved from a droid Razr maxx to the DNA. The battery life for me is almost as good as the razr Maxx. I use mostly cloud storage and google music, so I'm fine with the limited storage options. The phone doesn't feel extra large and is quite thin. Videos look great on the hi def screen. The camera is the best I've seen on a smartphone so far.
